Welcome to Target Zero. By booking a course with us, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions regarding course transfers, cancellations, attendance, intellectual property, liability, and additional policies. Please read these terms carefully.
1. Course Transfer Policy
Transfers for course bookings may be requested up to 30 days or more before the course start date without any additional charge. For transfers requested closer to the course date, the following fees will apply:
- 30 or more days before the course start date: No charge.
- 12–30 days before the course start date: 25% of the course cost.
- 7–11 days before the course start date: 50% of the course cost.
- Less than 7 days before the course start date: 75% of the course cost.
All transfer requests should be made via email to bookings@targetzerogroup.co.uk.
2. Course Cancellation Policy
To cancel a course booking, please submit a request via email to bookings@targetzerogroup.co.uk. Refund eligibility will be based on the notice period provided, as follows:
- 30 or more days before the course start date: Full refund.
- 12–30 days before the course start date: 75% refund.
- 7–11 days before the course start date: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days before the course start date: No refund.
Exceptions: In cases of documented medical emergencies or other exceptional circumstances, exceptions to this cancellation policy may be made at the discretion of Target Zero.
3. Non-Attendance and Completion Policy
Failure to attend or complete the course due to non-attendance will result in the forfeiture of the full course fee, with no eligibility for a refund or course transfer. However, if exceptional circumstances arise, Target Zero reserves the right to review such cases on a discretionary basis. Any such requests should be sent via email to bookings@targetzerogroup.co.uk for consideration.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment Deadline: All course fees must be paid in full prior to the course start date unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed upon in writing with Target Zero.
- Late Payment: If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking, and any refund eligibility will be subject to the cancellation policy above.
- Taxes and Fees: All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT.
- Third-Party Payment Processing: Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. By making a payment, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions set forth by the payment processor. Target Zero is not responsible for any issues arising from the payment process itself, including, but not limited to, delays, additional fees, or payment failures, which are governed by the third-party provider’s policies.
5. Liability and Insurance
- Limited Liability: Target Zero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the course, including but not limited to lost profits, data, or business opportunities.
- Client Responsibility: While Target Zero provides health and safety training, clients are responsible for applying training, knowledge, or procedures within their workplace.
- Insurance Requirements: Clients are responsible for maintaining any insurance coverage required for participation in training courses.
6. Intellectual Property
All course materials provided by Target Zero, including handouts, presentations, and online resources, remain our intellectual property. Course participants are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these materials solely for internal purposes and are prohibited from copying, reproducing, distributing, or sharing them externally without prior written consent.
Course Books: Any course books or materials supplied by an awarding body as part of the course are the property of the delegate upon receipt. These materials may be retained for personal reference and use following the course completion.
7. Health and Safety Requirements
- Compliance: All participants must adhere to health and safety guidelines set by Target Zero, as well as any venue-specific health and safety rules.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Where applicable, clients may be required to supply or wear specific PPE. Target Zero will inform participants of such requirements prior to the course start date.
- Medical Conditions: It is the responsibility of participants to inform Target Zero of any medical conditions that may affect their participation. Target Zero will make reasonable accommodations but is not responsible for managing or addressing medical issues that arise during the training.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
Target Zero adheres to applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Act 2018. By booking a course, you consent to the collection and processing of personal data for purposes related to course delivery, administration, and communication. 9. Modification or Cancellation.
- Target Zero reserves the right to modify course content, reschedule, or cancel courses due to unforeseen circumstances, low enrolment, or other operational reasons. In such cases, we will notify clients as soon as possible.
- If Target Zero cancels a course, clients will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date without charge.
10. Force Majeure
Target Zero shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. These circumstances include, but are not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes or labour disputes, pandemics, governmental restrictions, or other events outside our control.
In the event of a Force Majeure, Target Zero will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the affected services or provide alternative solutions. If rescheduling is not feasible, clients will be entitled to a refund or credit for the affected services, depending on the specific circumstances and at the discretion of Target Zero.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or the services provided shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.
